Symphonic Spectacular: Gil Shaham Plays Brahms

One of the foremost violinists of our time, Gil Shaham returns to join the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra for Brahms’ Violin Concerto. Shaham’s flawless technique combined with his inimitable warmth and generosity of spirit have solidified his renown as an American master. Epic in scope, radiating power and warmth, the concerto is often likened to the Mount Everest of the violin repertoire. Also on the program is Brahms’ “Tragic” Overture and Richard Strauss’ “Death and Transfiguration.”
